The other week I bumped into an old friend down the wall and he invited me along on a trip to Font. I would normally umm and ahh at this, thinking about the money I would miss out on from not being at work and the costs of the trip (as I have for the last few years been saving my pennies for a house), but not this time. I have decided to put the house saving on hold and get out on the rock as much as possible this year, so I said yes please! I'm super psyched, this time next week I'll be in the magical forest of Fontainebleu.
Here's a video from Wild Country showing some of the classics that I hope to get on.

you never regret a trip - especially when it's to Font from the UK. Almost certain it's cheaper than being in the country!
ReplyDeleteAs someone that was based in Sheffield, it was 650 miles to Gap - which meant I could get to Ceuse from one tank of diesel and a ferry (about 100 pounds). Considering it's only €4.50 a night to camp there, that's €31.50 a week. Add about €35 food, and you're looking at €200 for a week. But since the main expense is getting there, it's only about €70 a week in food and accommodation. So a 4-week trip is only €350, round it up to €450/500 if you decide to splurge and unforeseen expenses.
Cheaper than being in UK :)
Font is closer, but gite is a bit more. Still a bargain in my eyes!
Happy trip....
